When mowing your lawn, avoid mowing the grass too short. If you let your grass keep some height after mowing, it will be able to absorb more sun and moisture resulting in a lusher, greener lawn. When you cut the grass too short, the roots are often not deep enough, which causes your lawn to have dry patches of brown, discolored grass.

Before you begin planting your garden, be sure to put up a protective fence. You need to keep something in place just to keep out any unwanted animals, while also making sure your plants are safe and will reach their full potential.

Depending on what type of plants you’re growing inside, you may need a humid environment. You can create some humidity by grouping various plants within one pot or moving a single plant into a bigger pot and filling its gap with stones or compost. Keep an eye open for stink bugs in your garden, especially during the fall months. They like beans, peppers, tomatoes and many fruits. If you do not keep them under control, the damage can be excessive, so keep an eye out for them.
